FAQ

🤍 What do we mean by Art World?

Our Art World is an open, plural, and constantly evolving ecosystem, embedded in the global issues of today. It is a diverse and dynamic constellation of systems, structures, power dynamics, and the people who shape them: art world professionals, practitioners, and changemakers. This includes Art Workers, who transform ideas into visuals, and Knowledge Workers, who transform ideas into language. With a focus on mutual understanding and a multi-perspective approach to today’s challenges, our Art World offers a seat at the table to institutions, initiatives, and the many passionate creatives who contribute to its presence and its future.

🌈 What is the Art World of the Future?

The Art World of the Future is a living ecosystem rooted in care, accountability, and collective imagination. It understands sustainability and fairness, as well as feminist and holistic responsibility as present-day practices shaping tomorrow’s art world. Through co-creation and adaptive technologies, it preserves cultural memory while actively transforming how art is made, shared, valued, and preserved.

🗝️ What is Gate Opening?

Gate Opening describes the conscious act of opening doors within the art world. It is both a mindset and a practice that invites participation, amplifies marginalized voices, and questions inherited power structures. As a counterpart to “gatekeeping,” the term reflects a commitment to lowering barriers and creating shared spaces where access, visibility, and opportunity can grow more equally. At ArtVenture Club, we use it as an invitation to help open the gates of the art world together.

🌱 What is a regenerative community?

ArtVenture Club is a regenerative, non-extractive  global community. In practice, this means we shape collaboration in ways that strengthen, give back, and carry things forward for people, ideas, and structures.

In our community, ideas are not treated as free to us by all but as highly-valued expressions of experience, knowledge, work, and individual creativity. When someone shares an idea, they retain authorship. When others build on it, they do so transparently, in dialogue, and with clear acknowledgment of those involved.

We consciously strive for a fair distribution of visibility, responsibility, and benefits. Contributions whether conceptual, organizational, or emotional are recognized, named, and valued. For us, collaboration is a relationship. As a regenerative network, we create spaces where openness is possible because trust is protected. Care, feminism, and a sense of responsibility are structural principles that guide how we act.

We believe that this is the way a community grows in which exchange nourishes everyone and collective work helps build the future.
